Trinitite Glass Trinity First Atomic Bomb Test 3.67gm
Trinitite is the atomic glass formed from the detonation of the first atomic bomb on July 16, 1945, at the Trinity test site in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This unique Trinitite specimen was legally collected in 1948 and offers a rare piece of history.
The Manhattan Project and Trinity Test
The Manhattan Project was the top-secret U.S. government research initiative during World War II aimed at developing the first nuclear weapons. The Trinity project, which was the name given to the first atomic test, was part of this larger initiative. Both projects are historically and scientifically intertwined, making this Trinitite an important relic from that era.

Types of Trinitite
Several types of Trinitite have been identified. Green Trinitite is the most common form. Black and red trinitite contain iron from the bomb tower structure, while red Trinitite may also contain copper from the gadget or communications cables. The steel tower and "Jumbo" canister, used during the test, contributed to the composition of the Trinitite, which includes sand, copper, iron, and indigenous minerals.
Authenticity and Compliance
All of our Trinitite specimens are tested and verified as authentic. Orders are shipped in compliance with Section 13 of part 40 of the NRC Nuclear Regulatory Commission rules, and Postal Service regulations specified in 49 CFR 173.421 for low-level radioactive materials. Our sales comply with all U.S. Federal regulations.
