This Hollandia shipwreck coin jewelry makes a great choice if you have been looking for a quality 14k gold shipwreck coin jewelry necklace.
On July 13, 1743, the Dutch ship Hollandia was traveling on her maiden voyage from Amsterdam, Holland, to Indonesia when it struck rocks off the coast of the Isles of Scilly. All 276 members of the crew perished. The ship was carrying silver coins and an assortment of goods. The shipwreck was discovered with a large quantity of silver coins, bronze cannons and mortars by Rex Cowan, in 1971.
This Hollandia shipwreck coin is mounted in a 33mm (1 1/2" W) 14k gold rope coin mount setting. It is an authentic, 4 Reales silver coin, minted in 1740. It has admirable distinguishing features considering it has been submersed in the saltwater of the ocean since 1743.
Ships in a quality jewelry box with Certificate of Authenticity and information about the Hollandia shipwreck.
Chance of a lifetime to purchase this great gift for a birthday, anniversary or because you just want something this rare.
