Polymetallic Manganese Nodule Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone has the best of all worlds for a nodule. It is shapely on both the front and back. It is a complete nodule.
Manganese nodules are the most widespread undersea mineral resource, composed mainly of manganese minerals, and are found in lumps of various sizes.
Collection Site: Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone, Pacific Ocean floor
Size: 52mm L X 40mm W X 26mm D, about 36.3 grams
Rare metals and important elements have been found in manganese nodules discovered on various ocean floor systems throughout the world. The following elements are present: manganese, iron, silicon, aluminum, nickel, copper, cobalt, oxygen, hydrogen, barium, potassium, titanium, sodium, and traces of a few others. The estimated age of these nodules is approximately 2.5 million years old.
Our manganese nodules were obtained in a scientific materials trade with a major university.
This polymetallic nodule ships in a perky protective case with a Certificate of Authenticity, tag, tag stand, and information about the specimen. Photo cube and plexiglass base are not included.
A professional XRF elemental assay metallurgical laboratory printout analysis is included with this order. The XRF analysis is consistent with other manganese nodules coming from this region.
Here is an opportunity to improve your scientific collection with one of the greatest geological wonders from the ocean floor.
