Stromatolites are one of the Earth's earliest life forms. This giant stromatolite display specimen is a cross-section cut from the Green River formation from a bulbous columnar microbial mat in Wyoming. This stromatolite is thick cut, has terrific exterior "crust," and is shaped like a mushroom.

Size: 13 1/2" W X 10" H X 3/4" D, Weight: 4.7 lb.; The specimen is unaltered and is in its most natural form.
