Overview

This large specimen of fulgurite lightning sand glass is truly exceptional. It features a stunning color palette with gray to white melted sand grains, which have mixed with the once swirling hot molten glass, now lining the interior. We named it "Geode" because the inside of this fulgurite resembles the interior of a geode.

Formation

Bolts of lightning that strike the Earth are hotter than the surface temperature of the Sun, creating these stunning hollow tubes. The front of this fulgurite lightning sand tube is missing, revealing a visually stunning work of nature.

Of Added Interest: This fulgurite has a couple of natural holes in which you can see through it front to back.
